This short study, which was conducted as part of Power2Rescue, examines the political, economic and technological framework conditions for decarbonization in the emergency services, fire departments and disaster relief services. The focus is on alternative drive systems such as hydrogen, battery electric systems and e-fuels, which can contribute to reducing emissions. The analysis shows that the market penetration and practical use of drive systems in emergency operations vary significantly.
