This article offers an overview of the security actors in public transport, the framework data of the public transport system in the Berlin-Brandenburg transport association as well as the data situation on the security situation in public transport. Based on this, different challenges for police forces and transport companies are outlined and finally recommendations for action to increase passenger safety in public transport are given.
