Impact of Cyber-Attacks on Intangible Assets

Since 2017, we have been working on the question of how to measure the extent of damage from cyber attacks as part of an EU-funded project “Enterprises intangible Risk Management via Economic models based on simulation of modern cyber attacks (Hermeneut)”. What damage does a company’s brand, image and patents suffer as a result of a cyber attack? Intangible assets in particular are playing an increasingly important role for companies, which in an increasingly digitalised world are experiencing considerable added value through reputation and branding.
