Kai Beerlink
Kai Beerlink holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Regional Studies from the University of Tartu in Estonia and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Bonn. Before joining BIGS, he gained experience at the German Council on Foreign Relations, the German Institute for International and Security Affairs and the industry association Bitkom. His research interests focus on the impact of emerging technologies on security policy and the relationship between internal and external security.
Kai Beerlink worked as Junior Research Fellow at BIGS from June 2024 to July 2025 and was primarily responsible for the Power2Rescue project. Since 2025 he is Non-Resident Fellow at BIGS.
